Identity Thief Took More Than $2,000 In Fraudulent Checks Written At Flint Grocery Stores

FLINT,MI – Police report showed that an identity thief wrote more than $2,000 in bad checks to area grocery stores.

Police was told by the woman that she lost her wallet last July in which she had her ID. She told that recently she started receiving notices from Krogers and Meijers showing that more than $2,000 worth of bad checks had been written using a fraudulent account through Chase Bank.

The report also showed that the woman had an account with Chase in 2010 but had been closed several years back. The woman told the police that she doesn’t know who is writing the bad checks.
