Michigan Man To Be Sentenced In Home Depot Fraud Case

Larry Fields, a Michigan man, is returning to federal court for his sentence in a scheme to get more than $300,000 in refunds from Home Depot stores all over the country.

Larry Fields accepted that he and others took bar code stickers off inexpensive products and pasted them on goods that cost much more. The products were returned to Home Depot with the higher price bar code. The refunds were put on Home Depot store cards that were peddled to others.

On Thursday, Fields was summoned to Flint federal court after pleading guilty to fraud.

He could get 3 years in jail.

In December, Christopher M. Smith was sentenced to three and a half years in jail.
