Phaedra Parks’ Husband Apollo Nida Guilty Of Committing Check Fraud And Money Laundering

TMZ stated that after being found guilty of committing check fraud and money laundering, Apollo Nida, Phaedra Parks’ husband, has to pay the piper millions in restitution.

According to a report, he stole money from different companies through bad checks and money laundering. The total amount of money he stole is almost $1.9 million.

The amount of money he stole from the companies is given below:

  • JP Morgan/Chase: $828,300
  • IRS: $127,011
  • Delta Airlines: $24,985
  • State of California: $15,778
  • State of Connecticut: $45,525
  • State of Texas: $39,275

The TMZ report reads, “He supposedly created fake companies which then allowed him to access various databases that had information about people whose identity he flat out stole.

He then allegedly opened fake bank accounts in the names of the victims and then somehow got hold of stolen U.S. Treasury checks, stolen retirement checks from Delta Airline employees and checks that were supposed to go to people who had unclaimed tax money”.

Nida was sentenced to 8 years in prison; he originally faced 30 years in prison but reportedly got a lenient and decreased sentence almost a week back because he agreed to snitch to authorities.
